Is age really important, because i have a 7 year old brother and i started teaching him, and isnt the younger the better because of the natural it can become, i mean try to learn a language at 4 years old and try learning it at 20 years old, to whom is it easier? i guess you know the anwser, the only thing that could be an issue is really the aproach on how to teach it. Also kids have a lot more imagination and are not that so restrected and can accept new things a lot easier then adults.

So my conclusion would be, once they know how to read, its appropriate, but if for any reason this isn't true please correct me because this is just a point of view.

Well all i know is the children who is under 5 years old does not need any learning technique.

They are all genius, until they accept the general school's education.

By the age of 13 the child has 80% of their reading vocabulary. Is is helpful when it comes to PhotoReading. I don't recommend it for children just starting to learn to read, if they are interested then don't hold them back. The youngest taught in a seminar is 9 years old.

We do need to learn elementary reading. PhotoReading is the next step that they should teach when you enter high school.

If your 11 year old likes to read and has a habit of reading. Go for it. If she is a reluctant reader or still struggling with word recognition, don't force her it can put her off reading altogether.

I say give it a shot now and if it doesn't work try it again later. I started learning at 14, and am 18 years old now.
