Thank you ahead of time for answering this request.

I cannot find the information on Ying Yang Water in the manual that I have. I have read it over several times and cannot find this information. I have listened also to the Level 1 CD's to find this information and could not. Could someone please tell me what page in the Manual, (maybe my mind doesn't want to see it at the moment) or where to find this information.

thank you again.

Hello,

(sorry I can only be of limited help but here's a quick response:)
I recall it being on the 1st Level 1 CD, it is definitely on one of them.
I'm not sure about the manual but I think it is in there too (don't have it with me to check).

Basically you put one teaspoonful of honey into a glass half filled with boiled water, and fill the other half with spring water. That is how I remember it.

I've just started preparing a glass each morning, as of today. So it's interesting that I find this post after remembering this method for myself - I haven't thought to practise it before.
I'm not sure if it is essential to use spring water. Today I just blessed my tap water as we had none.

Wishing you luck with your Qigong practise,

Love,
Theo T

That is pretty much correct; however, with yin/yang water, the only two ingredients are boiling water and room temperature water. You mix the two together to balance yin and yang.

Master Lin says that if you would like to sweeten the flavor, you can add honey, but it is not necessary. You can also make tea with the water if you like.

Hi yes the above is correct half boiled half cold spring water.

Please note if you add honey do so at the end - not to the hot water as heat destroys the properties of honey. I have also heard of some adding a couple of grains of rock salt. So you get hot/cold and sweet/savoury both yin/yang opposites.

You can use any form of drinkable water.

Spring water is not necessary.
Some like to use spring water,
others filtered or distilled, etc..

Any water that is ordinarily
drinkable (potable) is fine.

Dear Sandradepar,

I would suggest to you that there isn't a should. As with any practise there is no right or wrong, just good, better and best.
Chunyi Lin suggests a glass a day. I drink a glass in the morning so that I can remember to have one every day.

It is basically to help balance your yin and yang energies. But once you have tried it a few times you might get a feel for the distinctive quality of the water and how it subtly contributes to your body energy (also it is nice to drink) and so you can just feel when you think you need/would like to drink it.

I hope that is helpful for you.

Much Love
