The best spot for me to practice SFQ is in my living room. There is a huge mirror on the wall. I know mirror placement is important in Feng Shui. Is there any impact if I practice SFQ near the mirror?

Thanks!

Hi bethann,
It is o.k. to practice SFQ in front of a mirror.
SFQ balances the energy around you, your room, your
home, so it is fine.
Hope this helps.

On the topic of mirrors, would I be able to practice healing myself in front of a mirror as I would with a friend using Small Universe, Sword Fingers and pulling excess energy out? Would this be more effective than Self Concentration meditation?

Hi Nelson,
Yes you can do healing in front of a mirror, the same way you would
work on someone else. I do believe that it was recommended on here
somewhere that doing sfq in front of a mirror is a good way to practice
detecting blockages in oneself. As far as what is best,
self concentration or this method, both are good. Everyone is
different in this aspect, and you might find one is better for you
than the other, but again, both are good. If I had a condition that
I needed to work on, then personally, I would do both, but that is
just me. Remember, the old saying on here, there is no wrong way,
just good, better, and best.
Take care,

On further thought "sending" the "message healing" should work well either way. I am having difficulty being able to detect blockages so I would like to practice more. Are you able to detect blockages from a reflected image of yourself? Is the energy blockage you project reflected by the mirror?

Good topic.

The other day I had strained my lower back pretty good. In front of a mirror I did sword fingers and removed the blockage, I felt a very nice warmth spread from that area. It helped a lot. I need to do mirror work more often. ;\)

Hi Nelson,
It is not that the energy is reflected by a mirror, but it
basically comes from your thoughts, intentions, the
same way as distance healing. You could also visualize
yourself sitting in front of yourself, do small universe, sword
fingers, remove the excess energy. You can also detect
blockages this way, although it all takes practice, mirror or
visualization. Remember that there is no time or space involving
energy. Your thoughts and intention play a very big part in all
of this. Thoughts and intention are energy. When you think a thought,
that energy from that thought goes out into the universe, and will sometime
come back to you in some way. Your thoughts, intentions, are so big a
part of you healing yourself, or anyone else. I hope I explained this right.

Hi Gabby;

Thanx for the info. What you are saying is "right on" about what your thoughts project and our connection to each other and it is one of the main themes in "A Course in Miracles" that I am studying now. That is why it is so peaceful to do a SFQ meditation.
