I have looked into different compass-direction versions of Feng Shui, and there are quite some discrepancies with regards to the elements connected to each number. I'm a female 5, and Metal in Marie's system. For me I know Marie is right. I have always loved the Metal-colors. In the Pa Tzu compass a female 5 is Earth. Any idea why the different schools are using different elements for the same years of birth?

Aloha Mia,

A birth date would be helpful here. Are you refering to your fortune element or your year element in both of these systems?

Much Love, Shawn

Hi Shawn
I'm not sure I'm clear about the difference between fortune element and year element. Maybe I went through the course too fast.... :-)
My birth date is January 30th 1964. Female 5 and Metal in Diamond FS. According to the Pa Tsu Compass 5 represents the centre and does not have its own compass. Female 5's are to use compass 8 which is Earth.... In yet another system I'm water which is weakening to me in Marie's system.... How confusing....

Thank you so much for your help!

Warmly
Mia

Aloha Mia,

It's helpful to find a system and spend a lot of time in it, so you can place things into context when other systems are encountered.

Some may seem to be set up similar, but come from a totaly different perspective.

In Maire's system your Animal is a rabbit, your Year Element is water, and your Fortune Element is metal. I believe they pulled the "year" element from later versions of the manual because Marie focused on working with the "fortune" element and the two were getting mixed up by people.

Much Love,

Shawn

Feng shui is influenced by the strength of the different Five Elements and also by the heavenly stars.Every aspect of life has a corresponding element or elements. With Feng Shui and family, the elements are wood and water.Feng Shui and the bathroom can be compatible if a person keeps some key elements in mind. Since the water element is heavy in this room, it symbolizes a healthy cash flow, wealth, and career chi.

I couldn't figure out how marie diamond determine the fortune/wealth element. I use formulas from four pillars of destiny as I understand the reasoning behind it. it's a different system but its more accurate because it's base on the day and month your born. The year is just too general in my opinion. one's wealth element should be the one that one is lacking which will balance you out.

Feng Shui and family harmony starts with how these rooms are decorated and making excellent use of color and the elements to harmonize these spaces for the best effect and positive flow of chi.
