Forums IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ Spring Forest Qigong Dental Implants

Hi everyone! I'm new here, although I have lurked on this forum for some time. I've been practicing SFQ since Easter and have come to love it!

I've had to have 2 teeth pulled within the past 16 months. After much thought and weighing different options, I decided to have dental implants done. I had 4 titanium posts inserted four days ago and will have the permanent crowns placed on the posts in about 2 weeks. I know that each of our teeth is on an energy meridian in the body and can affect the health of an organ ruled by that particular meridian.

My question is: Have I created a permanent energy blockage by having these implants placed? I know many other people have titanium replacements for various bones and joints and I am wondering if SFQ can offset any energy blockages that may occur due to the placement of metals in the body. I truly felt there was no other option for me to select if I wanted to be able to chew effectively and comfortably in the future, as I already have one partial plate and it is not at all comfortable for chewing.

Any enlightenment you can give me in this regard will be very much appreciated!

Hi Corky,
I would not think that you could create a permanent blockage
by having implants. sfq will keep the blockages away,
I would say. As long as the energy flows freely,there
should be no problems. Even if someone had an artificial
limb, sfq should keep the blockages clear.

Just my thoughts anyway.

I agree with Gabby. My understanding is the energy will always find a way if directed by the consiousness and consistent focused practice. The energy channels move through all kinds of so-called "solid" matter and tissue. And all matter is energy, whether a bone, waste material, calcium deposits or dental implants.

It is the whole being that is important, not the parts.

Thank you, Shakurav. What you and Gabby say makes perfect sense and had I given this some more thought, I would have realized this from the get-go. I will continue with SFQ and know that I am protected. Thanks again for your thoughtful input; what you had to say was very reassuring.

No, Barb, to be fair to you, the question was a very good one. Because basically what you were asking was "is the fact that this is a foreign, non-organic addition to my body, liable to cause a blockage and stop the natural flow of energy?", which is a very logical way of thinking about it.

The good news, according to qigong theory as I understand it and as my experience seems to confirm, is since EVERYTHING is energy, both organic and inorganic material, then channels of energy can move anywhere and everywhere.

And your clarification to your question: "I am wondering if SFQ can offset any energy blockages that may occur due to the placement of metals in the body", is the essence of the excellence in your question. That indeed is a very important question and the essence of what many people wonder about or fear. After all, many of us have some kind of dental implant if not other implants in our body.

So, a) give yourself credit for asking a very important question regarding your practice and its impact on your health and "new adopted child" in your body! And b) this is a question that I'll bet MANY people would be wondering about and therefore will profit from this discussion. That is the twofold value of this forum: it helps specific people with specific problems or questions and it acts as an archive or important information to help others. And without questions, nothing would happen!

I really like your idea of thinking of the implants as the "new adopted child" in my body and am embracing that concept by welcoming them with loving acceptance, rather than fear (what a great revelation that was for me!). Thanks for helping me to shift my perspective on this! I do hope this will help others who might be worrying about this same topic, but may have been too afraid to ask or had just never seen it addressed anywhere before. And, yes, this is a terrific forum!

You are quite welcome, my pleasure! And the "adopted child" idea I got from a recent audio download from audible.com, produced by Sounds True. It is entitled HEALING YOURSELF WITH MEDICAL HYPNOSIS and it by Dr. Andrew Weil, MD and his long time friend and colleague, Dr. Steven Gurgevich (though not an MD, he is a doctor of psychology and a specialist in medical hypnosis). They talk about a patient who needed a cornea transplant. But the person's immune system was rejecting the transplant. Through medical hypnosis, they were able to selectively "override" the immune system function of rejecting am alien substance. The image and language used was this idea of a new adopted child in the family. I was very moved by this (just heard it a couple of days ago!) and felt it would apply to your question. This is how the universe works, when we let it!
