I'm not going to say my idea is "wrong" because it helps me, i'm just wanting to know other photo readers opinions on my method. I start by preparing, previewing and photoreading the book (or chapter if it's for school). I then postview by looking at all the heading and illustrations in the chapter i'm interested in (Attached is a file detailing a example). Next I begin to super read and dip, but at the same time I have my mind map software open, and add to my mind map as I discover relevant information that I want to remember (Attached is also another example of a mindmap I have done). Anybody else do something similar?

Note you will need to download iMindMap. Trial version should work fine.

I do more or less the same, but I also write questions and trigger words in the postview stage. I prefer to do my mindmaps by hand while PhotoReading because I like drawing freehand although I use a mindmap program (http://bubbl.us/) for other mindmapping. I like being able to begin creating the map at the same time I'm super reading or skittering as it helps me to visualize the content of what I'm reading better.
