I don't mean to be vulgar or to offend, but in order to advance in healing and SFQ practice is it necessary I be constantly celibate so as not to deplete my chi? Or is it just as good if I act with moderation in terms of sexual relations?

PS I'm still learning the Level 1 exercises

You can enjoy a wonderful sex life while still maintaining and building on your Qigong practice. As you advance you'll learn even more methods of building your energy this way and even deepening your connection to your sexual energy as well as increasing your enjoyment. But you can begin right now. Keep practicing the active exercises as well as small universe and gradually increase your practice. Make sure you store the energy at the end of your meditations in the lower dantien - deep behind the navel. Anything in excess can certainly throw the body out of balance so it's important to make sure you keep your channels and your energy systems balanced through practicing Qigong. Also while focusing on your heart, tap your tailbone for a few minutes each day. This helps to wake up the energy in the body and is great for activating kidney energy, which is the life force energy in the body and also helps with strength and stamina. Most importantly, listen to your body, focus on your heart and enjoy yourself.
