Hi all, Faerywhisp here....just wondering if anyone has learned the Qissage program by Spring Forest? It looks very interesting. If so let me know what you think please? Thanks!

Hi Faerywhisp,
Where did you hear about Qissage? I didn't see it among the products offered at Spring Forest. I'd really like to know more about this because my daughter is a massage therapist and I think she might be interested if I knew where to direct her to find out more about it.

Hi Koco,
I saw it on the Spring Forest Qigong website. If you scroll through all the list you should see it. There are some short clips on you tube as well but they don't really show much. My girlfriend gave me a silmular healing and it was great. Very relaxing. I just ordered the dvd and manual so I am waiting for it to get here. Do you have Level I and II ? I will keep you posted when it comes and let you know how it is. Not that expensive either! Take care, Blessings Abound, Faerywhisp

Hi Koco and faerywhisp,

I have the qissage program and it's a wonderful combination of massage and qigong. You'll learn how to massage acupressure points in a specific way to enhance relaxation and healing.

Love,
Astrid

Hi Astrid, I haven't had much time to get into the Qissage but am planning on it soon. Have you been doing it long? What kind of results have you had using it on others? I think I will watch the video tonight. I will keep in touch and let you know how it goes. Thanks for your input! Faerywhisp

I have a medical qigong book by Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson, there's a section in the book about qigong massage. It says counter-clockwise manipulations with the fingers on acupuncture points remove blockages and clockwise manipulations are used for tonifying.

Is Qi-ssage similar to this?

Aloha faerywisp,

I trust you are enjoying the Qi~ssage DVD. It is a very good supportive tool to assist yourself and your friends in need to healing.

Metal372466: In Qi~ssage we use gentle, firm pressure
with a rotating motion to stimulate the flow of energy.
Most importantly, we use the power of our minds
and our hearts to direct and enhance the energy flow for
maximum benefit. In most instances, especial on the head, we are working on symmetric sides at the same time. In this and the other bodywork I've done, doing them both so that both are either going clockwise or counter-clockwise, is not supportive, nor does it feel good. Stimulating a single point, yes. In a massage-acupressure based system, you'll tend to find it following the direction of flow "dot to dot," rather than "dot by dot."

You have to take into consideration the frailty of your friend as well, adjusting the pressure, but always the same light coming from your fingers. Unless you are a bit frail, Chunyi tends to put some pretty good pressure on the client. I tend to focus more of the energy side of things when it comes to doing the Qi~ssage, but that's my background.

Much Love,

Shawn
