Has anyone done a distant healing session with Chunyi Lin?
Can one achieve the same level of healing effect from simply
practicing over time, or is the distance healing
a different and maybe necessary, in some cases, modality?
Are the other master's at Spring Forest as effective as
Chunyi Lin?

Aloha tonesg,

I, and probably most of Master Lin's student have had a distance healing session from Chunyi at one point in time or another. Some choose to do that, rather than go into the center, to save time and money.

As he teaches in Level Three, distance healing can be more effective than in-person, since there is less of a distraction for the preson facilitating the healing.

Darcie Gustine, a Qigong specialist at the Healing Center for a number of years, now in her own private practice, explained to me that the people she and Chunyi see make the biggest shift when they also are willing to do the work. "We can clear their blockages in very little time, and it's those who are willing to empower themselves as their best healer who heal the quickest. Most have been dealing with their issue for a long time, and there are specific things they can be doing to train their body to keep the channels open, rather than reverting back to the way they've been. The exercises and healing meditations can do some of that. For some, there is forgiveness work that needs to be done. For others it may be letting go of fear - whatever it is, it shows up when I work with folks, and then I can give them a technique, or strategies for them to take charge of their own healing. I do have clients that come, just wanting the "silver bullet," the "do it to me" mindset, and yes, we can do some wonderful work. It's those that are willing to take the healing and coaching to heart, that tend to have even more wonderful result."

As to your question about other modaities - yes! You have a spine issue, find a chiropractor. Teeth issues, find a good dentist. Qigong is complementary health modality. It can work along side your other care.

One thing Darcie also likes to remind her friends about, is that Qigong is not the end-all. You can't expect the best results if you are doing qigong, but not getting the right amount of sleep, nutrition, exercise, and emotional release and support for you.

Best,

Shawn
