How do people do the exercises...

I mean do you do the whole sequence each day, choose say a few exercises etc...

Can you still do an exercise briefly and benefit ?

Is there a problem if you devote too much time to certain exercises ?

I've been practicing qigong for some time now. Don't worry too much, don't worry if you can't move fluidly like a veteran practitioner, move at your own pace and practice whenever you want for whatever length of time you feel is right. I started out with only 10 minutes of practice daily, now I practice for 2-3 hours everyday. Worry won't do you no good. If you are practicing qigong for 1 hour with perfect fluid movements and you feel worry, you are not relaxing and the quality of your practice will not be good. It's better if you practice for 15 minutes but with a relaxed state of mind.

Practice your qigong with a still mind and an open heart.

Also wondering about the 'harvesting of Chi'. In the manual it should take about 10 mins. I find now I'm familiar with this exercise, it takes 5 mins or less. Should more time be spent
on this ? May be going through the exercises a second time....
