Supposing, of course, that I'm relaxed, using photofocus and chanting "re-lax" while flipping the pages while photoreading ,should I try to pay lot of attention and concentrate myself on the pattern that the white spaces and the printed letters of the pages make?

Just notice, as soon as you try something you plan to fail. Let the non-conscious mind handle it.

To try is to do without intention. It's an act of hope with expectation that it won't work. It's saying yeah I'll go through the motions you suggest but I don't see it working so I'm not actually going to do it with an open mind.

You either do or don't notice what you're doing.
