I have just started studying hexagrams and have a question about the meanings of 53.6
Part of it says here life comes to an end. Does that mean if you use this your life will come to an end? Also would it be better to choose 53.5 instead ? All others don't seem great to use.

What is the degree? There may be a better hexagram closer to it that is more useful.

I would suggest that you take the direction of your door for the next couple of days around the time of the day that it get's the most use.

Use this degree for the hexagram analysis. Once you have the degree, let me know. I'm more than happy to look at solutions.

It's 290 degrees. I've taken it quite a few times at different stages throughout the day and always seems to be the same.

There are many interpretations of I Ching. Marie uses the one by Sam Rifler as it has the best/closes interpretation to the true meaning/energy of the hexagrams. Based on this version both hexagrams 53.6 and 53.5 are marked as auspicious. The 53.6 is about “ final break with the past and a new existence for you” (truly moving to a new level in your life), very beautiful.

Going from 290 degree to hexagram 53.6 or 5 you would change the mountain from NW 3 to W1.
