Hello. My front door direction is 44°N/E. There is a close front porch with two grills that have a 25°N/E direction. Which direction is my front door now?.
Thank you

It depends if that front porch is enclosed.

Hi Shawn
Yes it is enclosed like a room with a roof and walls. And like I said, there is two grill gates which is open steel grills, one permanent lock and the other to go through to get to front door of the house.

Thank you for your time

Hi Abdur,

these two grill gates are made of steel/metal, aren't they?

Metal can cause a deviation of the compass. In such a case I would take measurements several steps away from the door to check which reading is correct.

Even though Marie says that you should always measure at the door - in your case, I would suggest you measure 1 or 2 steps in front of the door.
