I just read in Win Wenger's Brain Boosters course that a part of the mammal diving response has to do with cold water being on your face, does that mean you can't wear goggles that cover your eyes and nose? I always assumed the mammal diving response had to do with the pressure as you go deeper into the water.

Never mind, I emailed Win Wenger and he told me:

"Looks like it should make some partial difference, but you'd still benefit substantially from the other aspects and triggers of the diving response. The pressure does indeed have some effect, increasing the permeability of membranes and tissues. ..w"
