I found this highly interesting. The website in particular.

Someone asked about this awhile back(linden method). I have been researching it. it involves the stimulating the amygdala, the area of the brain that controls anxiety/depression. You dont need to pay their price of $165 though ,all the information is free if you look for it.
Here is a email I recently received from one of the site that offer tons of free info on amygdala control. From www.neilslade.com
***************

One of the more "popular" brain topics on the web these days is
anxiety and depression-- and getting rid of these nasty little or big
negative states of mind.

As I've noted previously, it was inevitable that hucksters and
opportunists would grab onto the recent popularity of brain research
surrounding the AMYGDALA, and instantly claim a sudden expert
knowledge of this little key organ-- and FOR A FEE (by my latest
investigations, anywhere from $165 to $995) show you how to control
it, and thus remove anxiety and depression from your experience. See
The Library From Another Dimension article: http://www.neilslade.com/Papers/superficial.html
The Amygdala Bandwagon

Of course, the amygdala IS key in controlling and elimination of
anxiety and depression. Unfortunately, most of the get-rich-quick
hucksters on the web haven't taken the time to really understand the
finer points of amygdala and frontal lobes function to make their
suggestions effective in the long term. And much of the information
thrown around for many bucks, is flat out wrong, incomplete, shallow,
and would have you going half-way, or in the wrong direction entirely.

Brain researcher T.D.A. Lingo set out from his PH.D. work at the
University of Chicago fifty years ago, and his subsequent work up
until 1993 focused on not only the broad points of amygdala/frontal
lobes processes, but all the necessary fine points as well. In 1982 I
started my period of work with him, and from that date until present
(22 years) its been my job to separate the baloney from the practical
fact, and sharpen the real and useful tools any person can use to
ACTUALLY and PERMANENTLY cause change in one's thinking and behavior
to elicit a permanent change that really eliminates negative emotions
such as anxiety and depression.

Not just a get-rich-quick superficial solution.

So, for those interested....

HOW TO ELIMINATE ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION- for real, for good:

1) Learn basic brain anatomy and function. Use the web site for
starters. Costs you nothing, is fun.

This is easy. Go through the web site to get started, and learn the
Dr. Paul McLean (NIMH and Laboratory of Brain Evolution and Behavior)
model of the triune brain- Reptile, Mammal, Primate (frontal lobes).

2) Learn how the amygdala reflects the ongoing status of brain
function via emotions. See this excellent Viewzone article for a
summary: http://www.viewzone.com/brain.magic.html

3) Once you know the above, you can then CONSCIOUSLY CONTROL YOUR
AMYGDALA, and control your emotions. And it won't cost you $995.

Control of anxiety and depression is not some SECRET METHOD. It is
public scientific knowledge. It is common sense, once you recognize a
few facts accepted by everyone who knows a thing or two about brain
function. It comes directly from global current brain research and
understanding of the basic functions of the human brain.

(My own cheap-ass books and CDs, and "Brain Music" are offered for
people who want more detail, want to be entertained, and want
something they can read and/or listen to on the bus, on vacation, in
the park, etc where they're not tied to a computer monitor. Please see
the feedback pages: http://www.neilslade.com/Papers/letters.html
Its a simple exchange that keeps me going in updating the site, and
producing more fun edu-taining brain stuff FOR YOU.)

This has been the work ongoing, from the Colorado Dormant Brain Lab
established by Lingo in 1957, to my current refined info on the web
page and books in 2004. No rip-off, no $1000 programs, no baloney. My
reward is being able to buy brown rice, some gas for my car, and
decent dog food for Erfie and Chloe.

I think most people start with the Frontal Lobes Supercharge or the more updated Brain Magic book or audio cd's, only $14.94 for either one,so this is probably where you would want to start.I think they have a package where you can get the book plus a few of the music cd's.This is where I'm going to start.I think the book is the most important thing to begin with.

Thanks, I'm taking your advice. This website and it's information is very exciting. I have been listening to the streaming interviews on the website. I would encourage all to visit and at least read the articles. If you don't do this, you are missing some real great stuff!!!

Please keep us updated how the products are working for you! I'd love to learn more, and will eventually check these products out for myself.

I sent away for the CD set of Frontal Lobe Supercharger ($14.95) and one of the music CD's. Total was under $21.00. I will post the results, but you can get alot of free info off the Neil Slade website. There are streaming audio and this takes you thru alot of the history and procedures.

One of my own email list group members mentioned this forum, and people interested in my work-- thanks for your interest.

I always answer all my email neil@neilslade.com

Please see the feedback pages at http://www.neilslade.com/Papers/letters.html
these are real comments from people, I don't make up any of them, honest. It frankly, blows me away sometimes what people experience with a few brain basics under their belt--

Thanks
Neil

I'd like to hear if anyone here has had success with this? :-). I can feel the area neil describes as I train in energy work and I think the amygdala also functions as one of the energy locks (bundis in yoga) also.
