Well, I have finally worked on a pc computer game that is being published. The publisher is Reflexive Arcade.

I did the AI (artificial intelligence) and was Project Lead on this game. You can check out the free, downloadable demo if you like. Tell me how you like it.

On eBay, for a $100.00 I just snagged the original hardcover editions of the Personal Power eBooks sold here.
http://www.learningstrategies.com/PowerBooks/EBook.asp

Woot.

Paper editions of the originals at a savings over $100.00 ... or $900.00 if you believe that someone paid $1000.00 for the original editions.

I wonder if LSC can publish the books online because the copyright has expired? If so, then the material is, essentially, free and purchasers are paying $19.00 a pop for the electronic packaging of free intellectual property.

Re the Personal Power books.
COOL! NIce find.

I do so much reading on screen, that I actualy prefer paper most of the time. (I only glanced at ChunLi's ebook, and waited for the paperback to arrive)

I think it is legal, ethical, and common, to sell material that is in the public domain. How many publishers are releasing classics all the time! Some companies use public domain stuff as "bonus" or giveaways to increase their market exposure or profile.

There is also a posibility that LSC negotiated an agreement witht he person who last held the copyright. I dont know, but I suppose you could ask them.

regardless, enjoy your books!

vitaman,

True. You are paying for the packaging.

I did a little research on it. Looks like the copyright is expired and the works are public domain.

The copyright on the LSC product says "PRESENTATION (c) 2003 Learning Strategies Corporation."
