Kevin Trudeau's course is exactly like Harry Lorraine's so if you want to save some $$$, get Harry's books. And NO, you have to practice the tech's over and over and they only last "forever" if you get very good at it in the first place- like typing and riding a bike. It is not easy.

I have gone trough trudeau`s course but did not like it to mutch.
Dominic O`brien has a more complete memory course called "super memory power"( 12 tapes and 4 books)
With his many all over world memory champion titles he really know about memory stuff.
I have seen his course on half prize on the net.
Nightingale has also a new course by him.(don`t know mutch about course)
