What is the best way to practice to master this? How does it work? Have others had success with this technique?

just sit back and let it happen. One of the best things I have ever been taught in school is not to focus on the goal but instead on the journey because that is where the real pleasure is.

Just let it come. Itll happen eventaully

It's like the dictionary game. Don't TRY to know where the word is, just guess.

Hey moparman,

You might want to try one thing I accidentally did. I had just finished the Silva Mind Control book, and was going to walk to the library to return two other books, and do the activation there. When I got outside, the beautiful but windy weather had turned into a temperature just below freezing, and a wind chill of about 9. I drove to the library, and forgetting my plans to activate the book (as I was incubating and not conscioussly bothering myself with its presence), I dropped it in the book return and drove home. When I got home and realized what I had done, rather than try to get it back from the library, I got out my markers and gel-pens and started to mind-map the book, based on what I had learned in my preview and postview, and what I already knew about the brain and how it worked. While it's probably not as complete a Map as it could be if I had actually superread and dipped more, it gave a good summery of the book's information. I know that if I want to, I can always pick up the book again and rapidread, or do more superreading and dipping.

Maybe my other-than-conscious mind was trying to say, "Hey, I think I can handle it from here; consider yourself as having direct-learned your first real book."
