I JUST ORDED THE PHOTOREADING COURSE AND HAVE BEEN A MEMBER OF THIS BOARD. WHAT I WANTED TO ASK YOU ALL IS....WHEN FOLLOWING ALONG WITH THE TAPE...SOMETIMES I DON'T GET THORUGH AS FAST AS THE AUTHOR IS GOING AS FAR THE PREVIEW AND WHEN I HAD TO PHOTO READ THE BOOK. 3 MIN IS NOT LONG ENOUGH FOR ME TO PREVEIW FOR WHOLE BOOK. SO WHAT DO I DO FOR LONGER BOOKS? FOR EXAMPLE, I HAVE AN ACCOUNTING AND LOGIC CLASS AND THE ACCOUNTING BOOK IS REALLY THICK AND TO PREVEIW THAT MONSTER OR PHOTO READ IN THE TIME THAT HE SAYS IN THE TAPE ISN'T LONG ENOUGH. WHAT DO I DO, WILL THIS EFFECT MY RESULTS.

just stop it and start it again I guess, I dont have the tapes, so I dont know if he says something that will effect you while you are in the state, but I dont think it will hurt to stop the tape after he finishes instructions and what not.

I would suggest using a smaller (~200 pages) book instead of something large & complicated.

It is difficult for me to find books of my own that aren't technical (all computers), so books on time management, communication, sales, etc are nice and often a bit "fluffier."

Libraries come in handy at this stage!

Chunk it like work with it section by section or chapter by chapter... don't take longer for previewing than 4 minutes... (if previewing takes longer than 4 minutes it means you are probably trying to do too much at once).

Photoread the whole book and leave it... it will take longer than the tape... thats OK but work with it chapter by chapter... (PR only 3 to 5 chapters again that you are actually working with the book, for learning). Look at large text books as being multiple books bound together.

By sticking to 3 to 4 minutes previewing you are actually training your mind to get to the important stuff quickly. Initally it feels uncomfortable and with practice it becomes easier and much more productive.

Good Luck
Alex

THANKS FOR ALL THE GREAT REPLYS I WILL TAKE ALL OF YOUR ADVICE AND JUST PLAY WITH IT LIKE PAUL SAYS.....LAST NIGHT I FIGURED A WAY FOR ME TO TAKE THE PRESSURE OFF OF MYSELF IN TRYING TO LEARN THESE SYSTEMS....I WILL PHOTOREAD ALL THE BOOKS I HAVE ALREADY READ SO THAT THE INFO WILL INTERGRATE ITSELF SPONTANOUSLY IN MYEVERYDAY LIFE! I THINK THIS WOULD BE GREAT WAY TO JUST DO IT, AS PAUL ADVISED IN HIS BOOK. WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK?

Thats a great idea for direct learning.

I had the impression that you were studying and would probably be tested on the topics. If that is correct then you need to practice intentional activation. The reason for intentional activation is to build the connection with your inner mind to bring forth the information 'when' you need it. Without this practice you can find yourself 'living' the information but not being able to explain it. The effects can be so subtle that you don't even realise that you know it.

I think you risk undermining yourself wondering 'what if I didn't get it? Especially if you cannot answer the questions in a test because you don't recognise them in relationship to the question.

Play with it yes... practice any exercises presented in the text books you Photoread to bring the information to the conscious mind, for recognition. If you're not getting the results you want work on activation.

My thoughts,
Alex
