When you are direct learning, say for example, to release your personal power, or to kick start your motivation....how many times should you PR the book? I wanted to PR a bunch of how to books to build confidence in myself, but just wanted some more experienced PR's advice. Also, should I activate or just do it and see what happens?thanks, Tony

Although my knowledge of Direct Learning is limited, I would recommend combining both methods. And as far as how many times you PR the book, do it as many times as you feel fit. Or more importantly, as many times as you enjoy.

Play with it.

When photoreading once is usually enough. But a good book can be enjoyed more than once if you desire For direct learning remember it is similar to sytompic reading... a number of books on the skills you desire. Previews lightly and photoread. Then leave it after, about 1 month you yourself might notice that you have acquired the skills you desired or someone points it out to you. Thats the beauty of direct learning. You change and don't seem to notice it cause it just sort of happens.

For Direct learning no activation. Not required and not recommended as the conscious mind starts to interfer...(are we there yet? how come I'm not doing that bla bla bla )

The point is not to fill your mind with self doubt and apprehension as to whether of not you did "read" the books often enough (once is enough). It can be counter productive trying to read it more often than we have time for etc. The inner mind is a lot more creative than we give it credit for. Our conscious mind needs to be a little more patient.

Good luck with your Direct Learning project.
Alex

Ah, yes. Alex definitely knows more than I do on that subject. All I ran off was some of the old old old old posts that have been archived for Direct Learning two years ago.
