I have barely purchased the photoreading kit. I do believe that the human mind is an incredible thing and that photoreading can work. To build my confidence about the whole system, I would like to know how fast some of the more experienced photoreaders are actually reading. You know, by words per minute. Also, for the less experienced, I would like to know how it is going for you.
One last question...Can we all learn to read as quick as the guy on the infomercial, with that type of comprehension? Thanks in advance for the info.

Okay, all I can say is .... fast! I havent checked my speed except for guessing, maybe 15,000 wpm (conservative guesstimate). Take into account that I havent actually been PRing consistantly in a while (I started up more consistantly when finals season opened up. BE VEWY VEWY QUIET, IM HUNTING SCHOOL STUDIES. THE BUGGERS ALWAYS SEEM TO GET AWAY.. *trademarked annoying laugh*

Not to push you away, but the guy on the infomercial has been PRing for 20 years. That does not mean that you cant be fast quick (ha, funny sentance). He said he experianced a 'spontaneous activation' there, meaning he didnt have to mind map or do much of the activating we do.

The main thing is, it works and it works fast if you actually give it a chance and honest effort.

Since January. My comp. is decent, no less than before (which was better than most.

A cool thing is, when I was studying for my US History final the other day I was obsorbing entire paragraphs in a second (I passed btw), I didnt realize it untill I had finished the entire Civil Rights Movement in a matter of min.

DJDart829,

It doesn't really matter how fast any one else is reading but it does matter that you can get through the written material at 1/3 time it took you when you started the course. From there it's up to you.

It seems to me that when potential photoreaders need to compare what others are doing they put up barricades to achieving their own improved speed. You immediate goal should be... instead of spending something like 9 hours on a book get it done in 3. That is achievable with the first time through the course. Speed is pointless if you overlook the fact that Photoreading is a learning tool.
