If I were in your situation I would first Photoread and mindmap the book so that I have a general understanding of what is in the book.
Remember you want to memorise most of the content so you will have to spend more time with the book. How many chapters is the book.
You could use your imagination to link the information to each part of your body Chapter 1 - feet you could imagine stepping on each piece of information.
Chapter 2 Knees... imagine taping the information to your knees...
Create pictures in your mind that you associate with the information. The more vivid the better.
Drawing a good mind map which you review daily will help you remember a surprising lot of details from the book. Remember with each activation layer you add more to your mind map. Your mind map helps to trigger recall.
The more you allow your imagination, hands, eyes and ears to be involved the more you will remember from the book.
