I just did the exercise on tape 4a., photoreading the whole book for the first time. I had a great deal of difficulty holding the book. It moves and leans over etc. It was very difficult to hold the book and flip the pages.

Prop it up against another book, arch lever file or even have it lying flat on the table. Rest your arms on the table as well for support. Ultimately you'll find the best way to hold a book by practicing trying it a few more times.

An arch lever file is a type of ring binder with a 2.5 to 3 inch spine. An empty one provides a perfect angle to rest a book against.

Marciah-

After much thought on this topic I finally invested $10 in an old fashioned book stand.

I bought the kind with arms that swing out and I prop the book up by placing one arm inside the front and back covers. This hold the book in place at the proper angle, while keeping all of the pages free to turn.

I noticed immediately that I was no longer concious of worry about the the position of the book and was able to simple focus on PhotoReading..

Good Luck
