Preview and photoread the whole book. Then give it a shot superreading and dipping for the information, place, time, characters, plot etc. Then do a rapid read. After doing that I suggest you photoread before rapid read each chapter Your notes will probably be a mind map.

You should find that your 'regular read' is faster.

i cant mindmap though, i need all kinds of details, plus they need to be in order chronologicly, and even reg. reading, i miss stuff

Characters, theme, plot, Setting, era, timelines, key events and chronological events could all be core threads off my mind map. By having those titles on the mind map I'd be pulling out that specific information during superreading and dipping.

Since that would be stuff I want to know I would have drawn that onto a mindmap already and be prepared to link the information as I find it.
