You could learn about forensic handwriting analysis. It would make you more conscious of the details of your handwriting.

Wait, Chang, are you a junior? You're 17, right? Well, let me shock you here (not to brag ), I am 15 and am a junior also because I skipped a grade--homeschooling rocks!

Youngprer, what grade are you, sophmore?

In relation to your problem, first of all--food for thought--and I know you're busy, but when you're free, you might try shorthand. I know its old, but you can write a lot faster...I want to learn it

More practical would be to just PR those books on handwriting analysis, caligraphy. Direct Learning--just PR'ing--doesn't take much time at all--you don't have to activate any of it...

Get a hold of the book

Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain - Betty Edwards Do some of the drawing exercises from that book. You might find that developing a flow for drawing improves the writing.

Another book worth looking at is
Drawing the Light from Within -Keys to Awaken Your Creative Power - Judith Cornell, PH.D. This contains some inner journey scripts where you can explore your artistic side from within.

If, as you claim, you don't have time to make it a priority right now... why bring it up? Isn't it just adding another project that isn't going to get done to haunt you? Or perhaps using it as a side trip to get away from something else?

I would suggest taking a manual drafting class. Even if you are not interrested in engineering/architecture, it may help improve your handwriting. That is what helped me to improve my writing as a side benefit.

Now I will admit my script handwriting is still pretty much illegible unless I really slow down and take my time, but I typically write in block format.
