people question your PRing in Public?

What would be you responses?

I say I been reading since I was 2, and now I have perfect photographic memory.

or I say I'm completely stupid and cannot see my feet by placing a book in the way just to flip the pages until I am done.

HAHAHAHA

Why lie? Unless you fear being challenged by someone that you are getting anything out of the book. "I'm photoreading this book", is my reply if anyone should ask. My mum did comment on my photoreading. After I flipped throught the pages of the book she said, "now I have to read that book and ask you questions about it to see if you got anything out of it", I just grinned and said "Yep".

I've never been bothered by anyone asking me in a book shop or library, they are usually too busy 'reading' their books to be notice and even if they do they usually make up their own minds about what you are up to.

besides, if you a school student, other students will start questioning you and mocking you for reading. trust me on that one. "You can't retain ****, etc etc" errrr, then we hit Math+Science, hehe those liberal farts drop like bricks.

Habit?

That sounds more like an excuse than something you have actually experienced in relation to having photoread in a library. Yes there are people who like to snub people doing something different. You're not going to tell me that they won't mock you for a comment like "I say I been reading since I was 2, and now I have perfect photographic memory That is easiest for them to call your bluff on. They will say prove it and ask you to 'read' from your photographic memory the book you have in your hand, could you?

Really why don't you just say, "photoreading" when they ask? If they ask what photoreading is you can explain it or just say 'it's something that I do'. If they start mocking it... isn't that just proof that they are ignorant of what photoreading is?

You know me Alex. Inwardly and shy. I am not willing to explain many things and have very hard time in personal communications (social skills).

Self Esteem Supercharger and Prosperity
Paraliminal tapes can give you a huge
boost in your speaking/interaction skills!

I used Self Esteem Supercharger at the
beginning of my forth year in competitive
speech class back in high school. I was
given an award that year for the having
the most improved skills.

Dana--no offense, but you're young! How did you get introduced to PhotoReading and Paralimial learning so early--I mean PR'ing isn't that old...
Just curious

Actually, explaining it would be a good way for you to practice your communications skills. You can even put them into trance if that is what you want to practice.

It was back in the Spring of 1987.

I was looking for ways to develop
intuition and stuff. The local libraries
had very few books on it. So, I found
a big Minneapolis phone book and started digging and came upon Learning Strategies'
listing.

I called and spoke with Pete Bissonette,
who gave me alot of insights and tips on
how to develop intuition, which spurred
me on to eventually taking the PhotoReading
seminar.

Pete told me later that, I had been the
26th or 27th person to try the first
Paraliminal tape they published,
New Behavior Generator.

Since I just turned 30 a couple of weeks
ago, that means I've been an employee
with a 16-year background with the company,
and PhotoReader since 1992.
