Hi Guys,

I am going to take an NLP course so as to enhance my technique in photoreading. However, can someone who has taken such course tell me your considerations about a course or institution? I mean there are so many courses listed on the internet and all of them say they are the best. What factors would you consider so that u can choose the best course for u?

What do you want to use it for? Do you want to learn it for your own use or do you want to become a certified practitioner and do therapy on people? Practitioner certification can cost a lot of money, especially if there are no schools near you and you have to travel and pay hotel expenses for 2 or 3 weeks. If what you want is to learn practical skills to for your own use, to run your mind, communicate better, etc. there are weekend seminars that can be very good. The best general weekend course I've seen is the Essential Skills seminar at www.essential-skills.com . For persuasion and selling Kenrick Cleveland is one of the best and his site is www.maxpersuasion.com .

For Practitioner training, I've heard good things about NLP Comprehensive http://www.nlpco.com/index.html and Neuro-Semantics www.neurosemantics.com . Neuro-energetics http://www.nlptrainings.com/ also teaches Photoreading so they might be a good choice since improving Photoreading is one of your goals. IMO local trainers can also be good but you never know until you train with them. An important thing is to make sure the class size is not too large. Some big name trainers have hundreds of people in the training and the quality of instruction really won't be as good as in a small group.

I just want to learn for self-improvement purpose. I think i have quite a lot of psychological problems such as perfectionism, procastination,... I want to use nlp to solve these problems and to improve PR.

In that case I'd go with Essential Skills. It is the most practical "real world" training I've seen. Tom and Kim are very good at teaching NLP and will work with you until you get it. You can get more information from the Essentila Skills mailing list.
