Hello, I'm new to the forum though I've followed threads for the past two months. I've often wondered the relationship linking Scheeles inner mind to what psychologist term mania. It's interesting to realize all those creative geniuses, cited in the adverts, experienced mania. The experience is much the same as having the mind of a child. Do any fellow bi-polars or others have some input?

There might very well be a relationship between the "inner mind", mania, and genius. Talking with a neurophysiologist, her opinion was that many bi-polars have a sensitive limbic system (related to the emotions and the inner mind) that might account for, during periods of hypomania, increased fluency of thought, increase in memory abilities, etc.

I think there is definitely a relationship there to be explored.
