Taking advice that I've seen on this message board over the course of the last week, I've decided to use step three of the system on 8 books a day. I've been doing this for about a week now, and I'm beginning to have a few questions.

I don't know if my imagination has been ruined by television or video games, but I don't get the feeling that my intuition is ever trying to tell me something. While I'm doing the photoreading step, I'll keep trying to remember my purpose and the other facets of the system(i.e. internal chant) but my mind will constantly wander away to thoughts of things I did earlier in the day, or past memories, or other things that I plan on doing. Does anyone else get this as well? How long do I have to do this before it starts kicking in?

I'm looking to Pete for this one, if possible.

No matter what anyone else says, ProduceDpt, I think the bottom line is just that this will get better in time so long as your are intending to improve, follow the steps the the best of your current ability, and PERSIST in your efforts! Maybe you'll find some really effective ways to break these habits along the way, but the odds are that if you persist in practicing the relaxation techniques of the PRWMS, you'll develop the ability to relax and move beyond incessant mental chatter!

For me, I used to get TONS of past memories -- totally random, usually, as I relaxed in any way, including for PHotoReading. My mind is much clearer now, however, as I've learned through practice and persistence to move my mind into that more peaceful state -- it's nothing that can exactly be taught to you, though.

If you're just using step 3, one week is nothing, we say 2 to 3 months for a reason.

As for your intuition not telling you anything.. how do you know when you're hungry, need to use the bathroom, time to sleep, to get a drink, that it's too cold.

They are all signals created internally to tell you you need to do something.

You haven't created any such signals with PhotoReading yet and I'll bet your mother could tell you learning to put a jumper on when you're cold took some training.

All Pete can tell you is he stuck with it for months before he had the breakthrough he talked about and to tell you to stay with it.

I'll have you know that I still don't know when to put a jumper on. They're not necessary in Arizona. Unless you're in Flagstaff...but that's just plain silly.

Isn't it great that your intuition tells you that you don't need a jumper?

I have to admit that this message board is more Zen than I've experienced in a while.
