I have been taking lessons in both areas, but I want to learn .....fast! Is there any way for developing skills in these 2 areas at a much faster rate through PR (or possibly even other techniques - Borrowed genius, etc....)???

I think you would need books with lot of images.

Both direct Learning and Borrowed Geinus can be applied here.

Anthony, martial arts are only one thing: practice, practice, practice and even more practice. without practice there's not martial arts. trust me, i practice martial arts and it's so.

Thanks for the replies, all.

Riportone,....I do not take traditional martial arts. My instructor created his own thing....very effective, very lethal, very simple.
