Hi,

I would like to know if some of you photoread with a computer instead of paper books.

Is the procedure the same? Which software do you use (acrobat? word? something else?)

Thanks in advance for your answers,

Ver

Yes you are able to read from a computer screen.

The procedure is EXACTLY the same as a paper book.

The best programs to use are the ones that allow you to page up and down.

Web pages and Acrobat are my preferred options (in that order) since they allow you to jump whole pages at a time. Docs are okay but they jump the position of the cursor a page at a time so I dislike the transition. Still works.

To PhotoRead on a computer screen use the Imaginary-X Technique. Once you know how to hold photofocus you'll notice the difference in viewing as you normally have and PhotoReading.

Tap the space bar (not in a doc) or tap the page up and down key. Holding the button causes the program to skip pages especially acrobat.

If you to want to do some hands free lazy PhotoReading you can set up Acrobat to advance one page a second. This is actually slower than you can go on a computer but handy for a lunch break if you happen to be multitasking ( PhotoReading and eating at the same time... I don't recommend eating soup while you're doing it... speaking from experience )

To set it up in Acrobat 7

- Edit - Preferences
- Full Screen (4th down on the left side)
Change
- Advance, to every 1 second
I also recommend no transition.

Alex

Hey!
From my experience my rapid reading skills are better for reading computer documents.
