Hello, I'm quite a slow reader and currently, I read at speeds of around 250wpm. However, I'll be going to medical school soon and I know it'll be more beneficial for me to adopt a learning strategy such as photoreading. However, is it possible for a slow reader like myself to become a photo reader?

Cheers!

Hey Nishant,
I replied to your email you sent and I hope that helps! Good luck, the system is awesome especially when you get to the advanced stages such as direct learning and syntopic reading (my favorite)!

Nishant-
I don't think 250 WPM is that slow-
I was at about 300 before I took "speedreading" at my local school board a few years ago. In only 3 evenings of instruction, over the course of a week, I went up to 900 WPM for regular material, with good comprehension. (lower for technical and unfamiliar stuff, of course...)

Still it is hard to keep up with all the reading I must do at work, and life in general. 25000 WPM seems much more atractive to me, and especialy Direct Learning.

I have borrowed the PhotoReading book from the library, and just started playing around with it- but I don't get it yet. Given time, it will probably work for me, as I am open minded and trust the unconsious mind.

That's fantastic! I wish the schools here would offer such speed reading courses. I would definitely sign up for it!
