I know that it's not good to get frustrated when trying to look for the hidden image. But I was looking through the archives to see and found a few topics.
http://www.eyetricks.com/3dstereo20.htm

For the life of me, even after spending 6 hours, I can't seem to see the horse. Could anyone offer some insight? I can see the blip on the page just fine. And over here http://www.vision3d.com/dots.html , The two circles diverge out as 4 circles and the second set of two circles on the right seem to be a little higher than the set on the left. I'm very sure I'm using a divergent view and am not doing it cross-eyed as I took a camera shot of myself when I attempted the PhotoFocus state.

Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Print it out if you have trouble seeing it on a computer screen. It's more difficult to see 3D stereograms on a computer especially on older monitors. There is a slight distracting flicker and its looks a bit funny sitting with your nose pressed against the screen trying to see them. So print them out.

Yup, I tried printing out the horse stereogram, but hasn't helped much. Still stuck.

Nichant,

I tried that, and it works like a charm for me. You need to pretend that you are looking at a point much farther away than the image. You are looking "through the image", if you see what I mean.

The image will go out of phocus for a while while your mind adjusts the focusing of your eyes just right. After 15-20 seconds of staring the image should get slowly clearer and completely 3d and the horse will stand out of the image clearly in 3d.

Good Luck...

~Olav!

Try it on others. Also nishant. do you have vision problems. (wear glasses because and one eye is signigicantly weaker than the other?)

I wear glasses, but my degree isn't that high. It's around 225 for each eye, so both my eyes are of the same strength. I still haven't got it working for me yet, the stereograms i mean. Will keep trying.

It really seems that one set of the dots at http://www.vision3d.com/dots.html seems like two sets (four in total) once i use divergent gaze. And the left set of dots is lower than the one on the right.

Wearing glasses just makes it difficult to see stereograms. For goodness sake let it go and use the imaginary X-technique. It's just as effective and a lot less nerve wrecking.

For the record my first spontaneous activation occured when I used the imaginary x-technique. I can see the blip and don't have to see it.

So let it go and just PhotoRead with a soft gaze using the imaginary X-technique. Get some real PhotoReading under your belt. When or if the blip shows up cool that's it.

Okay, I'll heed your advice

Actually when I try to photoread, I can see the blip in the middle of the page. But it seems like it's more of the information from one of the pages that overlaps in the blip. Is it absolutely crucial to see the blip even when using the imaginary X-technique? Thanks for your replies Alex.

Your seeing the blip just fine. often more information from one page than the other will appear. It's the marginal preference for one eye. Perfectly OK. If you use the imaginary X and see the blip cool. Just say the chant and keep turning with a steady rhythm and that's all there is to it.

Okay, I just viewed the following stereogram image using cross-eye and photo focus (second is the way to view stereograms).
- When I used cross eye, I saw the dolphins in the background (like cut inside) and the sea floor in the front
- When I used regular stereogram view/photo focus, I can see the ocean floor in the background and two full dolphins in front of it sort of diving.

See if that helps. This is the first time I used cross eye to view, but it hurts after 5 seconds. So if your eyes hurt after a little while, you know what you are doing wrong. I don't see how you can view an image properly using cross-eye as they look reversed to me.

Also, see if you can view the planet Saturn and I guess maybe a space radar thing below: http://www.magiceye.com/gallery/092205s.html
