Thought you would like to know.

Hopefully it will be out in early 2002. It will include more of his personal background and his journey to mastery.

What do you think about titles?

Here are a couple we are considering:

"Ancient Widsom, Modern Healing"

"A Healer in Every Family"

To be honest, I can't say I got a kick out of either of them actually. But that's just me, I guess... 'Ancient Wisdom, Modern Healing' is not too bad, I think, but 'A Healer in every family'...
Hey, I'll get that book anyway, trust me, but I don't think I would be drawn to it if it had any of those titles and I did not know who'd written it. Sorry...
I'm confident, though, that when you do settle for a name, it will be the right one.

Hope I didn't step on anybody's toes here...

All of you at LS seem very enamoured with Chunyi Lin and I am sure with very good reason. But if you and he truly desire a healer in every family, I would hope that you are working on offering a more affordable way of learning his system. I have used the Level One set for about a month and find it extremely redundant.

It seems to me that the videotape and the tape of sitting exercises are all that is necessary to learn and practice the technique. The rest of it seems superflous considering how much must have been added to the price to incorporate it. Trimming things down would make it much more affordable and result in that many more families having the healer that Chunyi Lin envisions.

I am not sure at this point whether or not I will keep the program, not because I don't like the system but because of its bulk and reflecting high cost

Thank you for the opportunity to express myself. I do love my paraliminals and do not object to a penny that I have spent for them...Harry

I much as I hate to say this, but I believe Harry here does have a point. I too found little or nothing from the first few tapes; the information was interesting but being a significant portion of the program they do seem like an unnecessary expense. The video is definitely needed, and the booklet is helpful, but with the explanations in the booklet, the tapes become even more repetitive. If the fat was cut from this very well-made program, and the price accordingly dropped, I'm sure Chunyi Lin's ideal of a healer in every home would inch one step closer.

If anyone disagrees, by all means, speak your mind.

=== price ===

I agree it is a lot of money for the course.
You have to decide whether it is worth it for
you. If not return it.

Someone in great health might not want it,
because most people will not prepare for the
future. But I practice every day, even though
I am in great health. I have no idea what my
daily practice will stave off. I'm not going
to take a chance. I plan on living a long,
healthy, and robust life.

I also receive more calls from people saying
the course is priced too low than I receive
from people saying it is too high.

I received a call from a customer named Carmen
yesterday. She has a form of lymphoma. She
talked with me when she first ordered the
course a couple of months ago--I hung up the
phone almost in tears. I am not a fan of
suffering.

In the beginning of her practice she did not
have enough energy to practice for but a few
minutes. Thanks to the support of the course
and of her husband, she stayed with it.

She told me her energy improved dramatically,
she can take the cancer treatments without
being flattened by them, and she has never
felt better.

She called me to say that her doctor asked a
group of nurses to study Spring Forest Qigong,
because of her remarkable come back.

I am thoroughly convinced that it is a good
value at any price.

A part of every dollar you spend on the course
will go to realize Chunyi's vision of a healer
in every family and a world without pain.

Thanks to the "marketing success" of the
course, we will be able to afford a top notch
public relations effort to support the launch
of the book to get it in as many hands as
possible.

We can also afford to spend the quarter of a
million necessary to build an incredible web-
based interactive program, which hopefully
will be out next year.

We are also sending out three million free
video tapes to educate people on Spring Forest
Qigong and what is possible. 60,000ish went
out last week.

Plus, this summer we are releasing a series of
meditations. One's for those with cancer,
another high blood pressure, and another for
arthritis. (I think those are the topics--I'm
at home without my notes.) Chunyi just got out
of the studio after working with musicians to
create music emitting the energy the body
needs to be balanced when confronted with
those issues.

Are we enamored with Chunyi Lin? You bet we
are. But we are more enamored with fulfilling
his vision.

As is the Mayo Clinic that told us two weeks
ago that they just received major funding to
study the effects on breast cancer with
Chunyi.

As is the Minnesota HMO Health Partners, which
just announced a high blood pressure study
with 250 patients.

As is my good friend, Annie, who called me on
Thursday with a severe tooth ache. I did a
long distance healing and the pain went away
(long distance healing is in Level 3).

As is thousands of others.

=== redundancy ===

For some people, the video tape is sufficient
to learn Spring Forest Qigong. For others the
video and two of the audio tapes are all that
is necessary. For other, everything in the
course is absolutely necessary.

Everyone has different backgrounds and
different learning styles. We put in the
course what we felt was necessary. We drew on
our expertise with learning as well as
Chunyi's expertise having had taught 7,000
people Spring Forest Qigong before we
published the course.

There is beauty and power in the simplicity of
Spring Forest Qigong. The simplicity often
fools people, just as the simplicity of
PhotoReading often fools people.

=== the book ===

The book needs to appeal to the masses. So all
title ideas will be appreciated. I'm not sure
that having the word "Qigong" in the title is
best for the first book.

The book will detail his journey to mastery
including tests he had to endure by his
masters such as meditating for months in a
cave with just a few pieces of fruit,
meditating for days with a poison pill on his
tongue, changing the PH of water, balancing on
a match book, and... I think you will find the
book fascinating.

His contribution to the Euphoria program
touched on an incident with soldiers during
the Cultural Resolution--you will learn more
about that and other obstacles to his mastery.

=== be clear ===

We are not groupies. We have no desire to
create a following for Chunyi Lin just as
Chunyi Lin doesn't want that.

We want to help people learn how to use this
remarkable, God-given healing capability we
are all born with.

It is about empowering the individual. It is
about you taking responsibility for what
happens. About you living to your potential.

Time to hit the exercise machines...Bye

Thanks for your thoughtful answer. I do have some kind of irrational faith in your company and Chunyi Lin. Irrational in that I have no actual proof to go on in any of this.

I have been practicing for about a month with no results to speak of, but I do enjoy doing it, though I did not at first. I don't feel that it is hugely overpriced and sure if it works, then as the credit card ads say, "it's priceless". I just felt that for a "simple program" it could have been offered in a more basic package at a more basic price. Some people cannot afford to lay out hundreds of dollars, even if they can get it back.

I guess I will give it the full six months and see what happens. I have to say though that if I don't see very tangible results I will be inclined to return it. This makes me somewhat uncomfortable as obviously i will be able to do the exercises without the aid of the materials by that time anyway, and don't feel totally "right" returning it. Had I only purchased the video and a couple of tapes for say, $100, i would have already decided to keep it no matter what. Maybe i'm just trying to clear my conscience and maybe, too, in 4 months I will be calling you to tell you that it is underpriced. I hope so.

Thanks and best of luck in your efforts.
Harry
