Just wanted to get some info, what do folks like for music during IS, and has anyone noticed effects of music on the images?
I have tried a few sessions using the music CD that came with the course, and also have tried Arvo Part (Te Deum), and some ambient jazz a la John Hassell (sp?). I noticed that each of these seemed to tinge the images, not the message so much as the theme. Using Te Deum, which is taken from the Greek Orthodox Canon, images were very heavily based in judaeo-christian symbols, Spiritual massage images seemed to be almost oriental, the jazz music actually made imaging pretty hard. Recommendations?

I don't see what it could hurt. It may even help image streaming. I would try Baroque music (60 beat classical) for best results.

Different music evoke different moods, emotions and scenes in the images streams slow music slow passive scenes and fast... well the image stream can be a rollercoaster ride. Great for just freeflowing image streams. However when I just want answers to questions I prefer to remain neutral so I don't listen to any music. For freeflow I love listening to music to see what images it evokes... always have.
