i have read other qigong practices pertaining to the breathing and others say the abdomen goes out while inhaling and in while exhaling. chunyl lin's method is in reverse. and it feels more natural the first way, anyone else have experience in this?

I would like to tell you my interpretation of the breathing. When you are breathing the way the tapes tell you to, then you are automatically pulling the air into your lungs in the back part of the body. (Instead of your chest expanding, your back does.) This makes sense to me because that is where my lungs hurt when I have asthma. It is the place we need to exercise our lungs if we want to make them stronger.

Upper abdomen tightens a little & lower abdomen expands w/ inhale.

Lower abdomen contracts w/ exhale & then the upper abdomen relaxes.

It has taken me forever to get it down!!!
