Forums IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ Spring Forest Qigong Level 2 only ?

I already know how to do basic healing of bodyparts (learned it in LillyDale, NY) and I don't have any pain myself but was wondering if I could just get level 2 so I could do others. The only thing I really don't know how to do is balance the energies in the body.

You've been to LilyDale? I was just reading about it a couple of weeks ago here on the Net. Seems like a really interesting place to spend some time!
How long were you there? Is it a place you can just visit for workshops during the day or do you need to sign up well ahead of time with specific instructors? What were your overall impressions?? Is the available camping there or nearby?

I used to go only once a summer to see Wayne Dyer but now I just go once or twice a summer to just "DO NOTHING." I didn't go this or last year because I was just too busy.

The Summer months are the best times to go because the "guru's" are there but I think they have small meetings year round. There are tons of rooms they rent out right on the grounds.

I've never seen their website but I'm sure if you ask you can get a brochure. I've encountered "fakes" as well as genuine healers, psychics and all that.

The healing they do there is different from QiGong. They just do the Reiki "laying of hands", they don't wiggle their fingers around like that Qi guy does. Everyone on the planet can do it all right now, it's just an awareness of energy.

That last post was in response to your first question. Also, regarding the "laying on of hands", and that "Qi guy" as you interestly are referring to Master Lin, I think???, and the wiggling fingers... The wiggling fingers is just how many people react to feeling energy blockages in another person. It is not always the case. I just feel things in my hands, or see things, if I am feeling someones energy. Someone else may feel blockages very differently. That particular thing doesn't define qigong in general or SFQ, in relation to a comparison between a Reiki approach and a qigong approach to healing. How someone reads the energy, removes blockages, restores energy, and balances energy are all important aspects of healing work, and some of the many ways in which healing modes can be compared.

Thanks, Andy. I am definitely going to have to go there this summer!! (I really enjoy reading Wayne Dyer.) Some of the advertised "psychics" seem worth investigating ... but I have lately lost most of my interest in watching what someone else does. I am so into SFQ ~
I think it's true - we all actually know how to do this already. It's just ourselves not believing that we can do this that is holding most of us back. So many go to someone else who seems more "qualified" in some way.

Still, it seems like it would be fun to go check out LilyDale!!
