Hello!
I've recently just learned about Qigong.
My father suffered a stroke back in 1997 and and has a blood clot in his brain (if i remember correctly) which has left the left side of his body with partial feeling. His sense of touch is the "pins and needles" feeling like when your leg has fallen asleep but is starting to get bloodflow.

I understand that Learning Strategies offers a system specifically about "Spring Forest Qigong" but unfortunately I don't have the money right now to buy the system.

Do you think it's possible to help my fathers state? Also, can anyone recommend a good book on this subject?

Thank you for reading,

ck1223

Aloha ck1223,

Much Love to you and your father, its not an easy time for either of you.

You can call Learning strategies to see if we still have a copy left of "Born A Healer" by Chunyi Lin. It has a good overview of Spring Forest Qigong, personal stories from Master Lin, his students, and three basic Spring Forest Qigong exercises.

Start looking up Spring Forest Qigong or just Qigong on the Web - some of the exercises are posted. And there is a lot of information out there.

Is there anyway to order Master Lin's book off the internet?

Aloha Nacho et. al.,

I don't believe the book is set up on the internet any more, as we removed that option when the remaining supply dipped below a certain number.

I believe there are a couple copies left here, and all one would need to do is call 1-800-735-8273 or 952-475-2373.

Much Love, Shawn

Any plans for another printing? It struck me that reading this book could improve the respect I have for Master Lin, allowing greater access to his resources.

Whoah, remind me not to think of that too heavily, tinnitus just increased, feild of vision widened, and I am growing more aware of my body. (No, inner-mind, I'm not trying to access them now... I'm drinking tomato juice for dinner and then walking to the library).

Aloha Kaiden,

The Born a Healer book was a special limited release that was made available at last year's special event (check to see if November 15-16 is marked on your calendar for this year).

I believe the actual national release version will come out some time this next year. We'll have to see what Chunyi and the universe come up with.

One staff member brought it on a week vacation and when she got back, said it had filled in a lot of peices about Spring Forest Qigong that she had had.

Much Love, Shawn
