I tried to practice small universe a couple years ago, but I always fell asleep. I tried it recently, and sure enough I couldn't get through a single round around the body without falling asleep.

By chance I happened to bring the tape from the personal learning course about the sitting exercises on a drive yesterday. On it, Master Lin said that when you sit, your hands should be over your knees palms up, and you should extend your fingers or else you will fall asleep. I was totally floored. I tried it this morning and was able to get through a whole 30 minute session without falling asleep once.
