I am going through the Silva Mind Control Method book by Jose Silva and Philip Miele right now and I am interested in hearing any feedback from anyone out there who is either using the course that was recently promoted by LSC, other readers of the book, or anyone who has taken one of the Silva classes and uses the method.

So far the methods presented seem sound and, based upon my own experience in learning meditation and other mind / emotion control techniques, looks like a good course.

At a certain point in the book it suggests that you form a Silva Practice Group with "at least six compatible people, who will learn to practice the exercises."

Would anyone who is interested in being a part of a Silva Practice Group speak up here and we will see if we can get together a group?

I think it's a good idea. Yahoo does that sort of thing pretty well (usually). If you start one, post the name of it and I'll join.

Thanks Jeanne,

I was kind of curious to see who was interested within the community of people here around the Learning Strategies site, who may be using some of the other LSC products such as PhotoReading, Genius Code, and Abundance for Life.

I am a little surprised at the response here. Maybe the people who are into the Learning Strategies products aren't really interested in the Silva method. It is pretty much in line with other mind development techniques that I have learned over the years.

I've studied both the Silva Method and LSC materials. IIRC LSC also sells the Silva CDs, so even they wouldn't see a conflict.

Livingsuccess you haven't bother to search the forum have you? I suggest you search this one the Genius Code and PhotoReading. It's been discussed in those in the past.

Hi Alex and all,

Thanks for the HINT regarding searching the forum. I seem to remember that I did do a search before I made this posting, though. The main purpose of this thread was to ask about who would like to start a Silva Practice Group, as the name of the thread would imply. I didn't find anything about a practice group when I did that search. I realized that there is general interest in the Silva program and my later comment was more of a baiting than anything else. I am not "curious" about Silva - I know these things work and I wanted to find others interested in some real practical work and experimentation with the methods. Anyone please speak up if they are really interested in practically working with the Silva method in a practice group.

I can see that you (Alex) have some real experience with Silva, and I did do a deeper search before making this post to read more about the general Silva talk here. Margaret seemed to be pretty focused with the Silva method and with CRI's products, of which I am also a long-time practioner. I wonder if Margaret is around here much now? (don't worry, I already did a search on her posts with "silva" in them - she hasn't been heard around here, regarding Silva, for just over 2 years now) But there must be people here who would like to start a Silva practice group, right?

Alex,

This is just a general question, but I don't see where to post it, since I can't get into the Memory Optimizer forum.

I own a copy of Memory Optimizer. What do I have to do to get a password to the forum?

Lot more experiences with Silva than I've ever told. And I won't discuss here on the forum. A few people have picked my brain about it on MSN.

Hopefully the others will do a search too.

Alex

I love that where it is right in the commentary around the link, which I obviously didn't read so closely.
