I just emailed the following note to many of our customers. Just in case you did not receive it, I wanted to invite you to a special retreat with Paul...

Imagine a full week of life changing
experiences - morning, noon, and
evening - designed to arouse your
psyche, bolster your performance, and
calm your spirit. All in the name of
maximizing YOUR potential.

Paul R. Scheele, one of the world's
leading mind explorers and principle
developer of the programs we publish,
will take you on a playful journey into
the real power centers of your
mind...to accelerate your mental,
emotional, and spiritual growth.

You will re-enter your present life
with heightened self-awareness and new
perspectives on life that will smooth
rough edges, focus your direction, and
tune your brain for a sudden advance in
your quality of life.

In the weeks before the retreat, Paul
will help you zero in on where you want
to see passion, powerful action, and
new results. You can be assured of
significant improvement, integrated
change, and joy.

How is he going to do that?

The retreat will be your opportunity to
play with leading edge mental processes
that Paul is working on. He'll bring to
the event the most successful and
popular processes to-date and weave
them into the new material he's been
working on in the past few years. It
will be an experience unlike any other,
and you will be creating new neural
pathways faster than ever!

For example, you will discover Advanced
Strategies of Influence and combine
them with new processes of reading
minds. You will explore transmitting
thoughts directly into the minds of
others.

Far fetched?

Have you ever known what another person
is thinking? Have you ever accurately
judged the intentions and feelings of
another? This kind of "reading" of
minds is something we all do and take
for granted.

A dominant theory to explain this
uncanny ability is that we understand
what is going through the minds of
others by mentally mimicking what the
other is thinking, feeling, or doing.
At the University of Parma, Italy,
researchers identified an entirely new
class of neurons called "mirror"
neurons-"mirror" because they seem to
fire in sympathy, reflecting or perhaps
simulating the actions of others.

In essence, you will learn the latest
and most powerful persuasion and
influence technologies, techniques,
tricks, and strategies to ethically get
others to respond in the way you want,
and to take the action that will
generate your results.

That is only a taste of what you will
experience. And, you will receive all
of the coaching you need after the
retreat to make sure you can fully
benefit from what you learn.

Ideally, you would have already done
the PhotoReading, Genius Code, Natural
Brilliance, and Spring Forest Qigong
personal learning courses before the
event, but it is not necessary. If you
haven't, you can get one of the courses
at no charge (see below).

Paul says PhotoReading is the most
important, because right there at the
retreat he will guide you through
PhotoReading dozens of books to take on
new skills and behaviors to help you
make a quantum leap. You'll find it
stimulating, eye-opening, and
refreshing.

As a bonus, Chunyi Lin will visit our
group one evening to talk about
universal energy and going into the
emptiness. He will lead a Spring Forest
Qigong meditation and do a healing for
each participant. (Plus, Paul will lead
a session of Qigong active exercise
every noon.)

It will definitely be a week-long
buffet for your mind!

++++++++

Here are the details of the event.

* Begins 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 24.
It finishes at 11:00 AM on Friday,
August 29.

Sounds great, and you've included almost all the information I'm interested in. What is the expected attendance and what is the maximum enrollment in the retreat?

Will you be dropping by the retreat Pete?

Oh on the room sharing, is that twin beds?

Iam2 / Dan,

If you're seriously interested let me know.

Drop me an email or we can hook up to discuss.

This seems like a fantasic opportunity ...

Have to check out what the costs are ... flight, car rental and all and if I can book off the time.

Pete, you've thrown too many numbers ... if someone responds early, two or more go and share a hotel room what's the grand total? Too early in the morning for me to figure this out!

I'm glad you're interested Michael. I was hoping you or Dan would be. Early, multiple registration and possible sharing is that as low at $1650 or is it $1750 or only $2000. The lower the price the more it is possible for me. Sure, I have to pass on my new computer I've been saving for. More importantly I have to see how the wife feels about my doing this.

I'll call on the weekend Michael.

Oh and if they are shooting for a 1000 people, then I will probably give it a pass. I'm not sure where my cutoff in class size is, but I'm very seriously thinking of going.

Please clear up the multiple discounts and class size questions Pete. Thanks

Pete,

What is the cost for an additional night stay at the hotel (Saturday 23)?

Apparently, if you fly in on a Saturday, you can save almost 75% off the airfare compared to if you were to arrive on the Sunday itself!

Pete,

OK, it's now the afternoon, I'm awake!

If one commits by May 29 the cost is reduced to $2000.

Breath in, Breath out.

If another course does come out due to this retreat what exactly would you say its goin to be on? Retreat is quite pricey for some but seems pretty incredible. I wish the best for those who go and for LSC to come out with program shortly after.

That sounds incredibly expensive. What do you really learn that one cannot find already in any of LSC's expensive (100-200) courses for purchase? The latest most powerful influence, "mind-reading" technologies, eh? In other words, the art of understanding the psychology of humans, which does not require suggestions that "mirror" neurons somehow conduct telepathy. Furthermore, that kind of persuasional strategy DOES NOT enhance anyones life, it only binds our species into our habitual emotion-reaction machinelike relations. Imagine a world where most people, the aspiring ones, all tried to use subconscious persuasion on each other, to advance their agenda. What a ludicrous circus that would be. What we need is a path to freedom, not a path which keeps people in the dark.
We need EDUCATION for freedom; and I consider it the highest moral responsibility that at all times we only attempt to influence anothers thoughts and emotions in a way which points them towards self-liberation. This requires that we aren't trying to get across our competitive agenda, because presumably we can transcend all that, which only leads to suffering.
My philosophy of freedom does not just come from idle speculation, either. Its necessity has been confirmed by me on many occasions, the most recent being a visit from the poor, unfortunate Mormons trying to convert me to the "true" religion. I spent about 20 solid minutes engaging them in a calm conversation about the ideas behind any religion, especially theirs claiming to be the exclusive, "true" one. I can say with whole conviction that those two human beings were as brain-washed as any CIA manchurian candidate. I won't quote extensively from the argument because I think that you guys can figure this out, but I will say that despite the entire gamut of complete absurdities I exposed they would always fall back on their programming: "what if we are the true religion afterall?", "but we absolutely know that we are the true religion", "you cannot live fully without our faith, and hence our hopw", etc., etc. The sad thing is that this is just a slightly more extreme version of most religions, and it also gets worse- think Jehovahs Witnesses. The point is, most of humanity holds onto needless illusions which prevent them from self-liberation. Do we reinforce those emotion-reactions which are at the root, or do we lead by example? Do we show compassion for this state-of-affairs, or do we exploit it? In other words do we become Buddhists in this regard, or Machiavellians? And Pete's throwing in the word "ethical" does not change the substance of my criticism at all, so don't even try that.
And of course, the first prerequisite is that we ourselves work on our own freedom, first. In fact, you cannot appreciate the scope of this problem until you can at least recognize the emotion-reactions in yourself.

Working backwards a bit: I have come to this understanding through study of many things, many of which I have suggessted here, in hopes that a self-improvement forum would take notice, others which I considered to obscure or esoteric. I now feel morally obligated to review and expand upon my list, so that you guys can look over what I've learned and form your own sense of freedom. The most poerful information collection is at yur fingertips, the internet. You can search all these topics before finding suitable material:
Obviously, thought-training from Logic, Scientific Method, and General Semantics. Also, the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche, Martin Heiddeger, and Jacques Derrida. More "esoteric" conceptions from Rudolf Steiner, and Zen Buddhism- I recommend the excellent books of D.T. Suzuki. The science of Rupert Sheldrake. Any of the books by Robert Anton Wilson, see his website. Also, for general mind-expansion, the whakiness of Terence McKenna, and Timothy Leary. For Fascinating psychology C.G. Jung and Jean Piaget. For scientific conceptions relating to the earth I like Lynn Margulis, and James Lovelock. Finally, I'll mention that Linus Pauling, the controversial advocate of Vitamin C- who incidentally one two nobel prizes, and was on of the founders of modern biochemistry- and his "offspring", things like the Linus Pauling Institute have generally good information regarding your health.
