Save yourself some hassle benny and don't try and do what your saying, which is consciously taking in a whole sentence with one glance.

Why - because say there's 15 words in a sentence, you won't take all that in in an instant, consciously, so don't bother.

Also, you will become quickly confused because the meaning of comas and full stops will become irrelevant, when they are relevant.

Like Alex says, you see it, as long as you see it in your periphery.

As for consciously reading in blocks, well just take them in two or three word blocks, that's fine.

I dont want to input sentaces at a time, I just want to be able to go through one line at a time. I have recently learned you are not suppose to read a book word-for-word, but for ideas.

That's what superreading and dipping is all about. Reading for meaning that comes in groups of words.
