Shr33m:

We seem to be 'in sync' when it comes to healing modalities. I have used Jin Shin Jyutsu for many years for insomnia. My sleep problem involved waking up at night and having difficulty going back to sleep and holding the thumb works quite nicely for this.

My favorite method of going back to sleep involves bringing in one of the many energy frequencies that I'm attuned to which makes me very relaxed and drowsy.

I've also found mantra repetition (as is used in TM) to be useful for that purpose as well.

When all else fails, you might ask Morpheus (God of Dreams) to put you to sleep. This always works for me. k.i.s.s.

Much Qi to all

Mayflower, just make sure you don't get the other Morpheus who hands you a blue pill and a red pill and asks you to choose one. You might really wake up!

I liked the ending to your last post Gallen. The looking for truth and burning of fear (or my limiting filters, in my case) was one of the first steps in the LSC retreat. That retreat experience started on the path to where I am now. Being lazy I'll let someone else share my ideas of fear (or any emotion) in a quote.

To use fear as the friend it is, we must retrain and reprogram ourselves...We must persistently and convincingly tell ourselves that the fear is here--with its gift of energy and heightened awareness--so we can do our best and learn the most in the new situation.
Peter McWilliams, Life 101

Some fear is useful, and some is limiting. Understand the value of the message and use it.

You are perfection.

Thank you Gallen for your ideas and suggestions.

Most of my fear, I suspect, is unconscious and hard to define, but I think it may be a key factor in my chronic illness. It's sort of like fear of success, but for me its fear of wellness. I've been sick for so long that I don't have a lot of faith in my abilities anymore. On a rational level I can reason my way out of this cycle since I once was a very capable person and led a successful life. But I think there is a lot of deep doubt that I can't just turn off.

I will try being more aware of self-limiting thoughts and try to shut them down before they complete. This should help relieve some of the unconscious fear. Hopefully the SFQ will help with the rest in time.

Thank you again,
Lisa

Hi Lisa,
I am going to drop you an email, hopefully tomorrow, as not to get further into these aspects here. Your qigong work is essential, and you 'will' be fine.
love,
gallen
