Hi,
My house has 3 levels (basement, main floor and second floor). The front door, which is in the main floor, is a little above the street level. So we have a little set of steps (7 steps) to get to the front door.
My garage is attached to the house, but it is at street level (7 steps as well to reach the entrance to the kitchen that is in the main floor). So, I would say that the garage is a split level part of the house. Another thing is that the garage sticks out of the whole rectangular shape of the house (Google Map view) . My question is, should I include the garage when drawing the diagram of the main floor, or should I just consider it as part of the outside landscaping, please? I hope I was clear because it is confusing. Thank you so much!

Hi,

if your garage is under the same roof or directly under your living space, you should include it. But if it's attached to the building then not necessarily. Without a plan it's difficult to say but in your case it seems that you should exclude it.

All the best,
Astrid
