That's ok by me ... if someone has both options available to them.

I think that, like most things, what causes people problems with relating is an impoverished map of who "other people" are and of social relations in general or more specifically with the gender with whom they are sexually attracted.

An impoverished map may lead to someone seeing members of the attractive sex as being objects to manipulate rather than people with whom to share interests and relate.

I'm sure you've heard all of this before....

But if it makes someone confident, go out there and learn, and they really do end up seeing people as people and not things to manipulate then I am all for it.
