Actually, I've read up on the Po-Halo controversy and unfortunately most of it is pretty errant.

I don't want to go on an off-topic thread here, but since it's already gone pretty off-topic, I figure I might as well say this:

"What's wrong with the idea that God created the Big Bang? What if God created the universe in a way that doesn't go against science? What's wrong with the idea that certain scientific assumptions in the Bible are wrong simply because the human writers erred, but that the moral guidance in it can still stand true?" I mean, when I look at a Bible, I look for guidance. When I want to know what a star's made of, I'll ask the kind folks at Nasa.

Of course, my 2 cents are overpriced.
