One of the ideas with the 5 day test is to allow some incubation time. Another is to reduce expectations of instanteous results. You just follow the process and notice what happens.

The 5 day test has lots of other benefits. Like keeping your energy directed on the PR objective. And committing you to actually using it. We're talking PRing 1000 pages everyday, and only one 20 minute activation on one of the 200 page books. Most people learn the system to fully understand it, but don't use it. You can read and understand everything about swimming, but you're going to do a lot of splashing the first time you actually swim. You get better with more experience.

Dang, I've got to jump in the pool some more. Just because I swam a lap my on my first time in the water, doesn't mean I'll make the olympic team.
