No question is too stupid ... your questions and concerns are all too familiar. I should know, I went thru the same thing.
Over time, you will and I mean you will become proficient to the point whereby you won't even think about the process. But remember, to have fun and not to have expectations as this can put pressure on you so to say. Secret it to relax during the entire process and play with it.
