Interesting question. My rule of thumb is when in doubt wait 30 minutes, as this is roughly the amount of time it takes for chi to circulate the body. This is what Master Lin recommends for eating, bathing, visiting the bathroom,and practising other energy modalities. I do not remember seeing information relating to exercise, but like to wait for a half an hour or so before going for a run, which is my preferred form of exercise, as I feel it is good for the body to settle. However I do look forward to reading a more informed answer in due course.
