I was at the course last year, too. The major goal I set for myself was to increase my level of service to my university so that I could increase my level in the organization (I wanted to be an Assistant VP) and my financial rewards.

A lot of new challenges and projects started coming my way almost immediately, and my ability to handle them and to help others handle their challenges began to increase as well.

Yesterday I was named Assistant Vice President for the University of Houston and Assistant Vice Chancellor for the University of Houston System (an unexpected bonus). A nice salary bump as well.

And I've been having so much fun I may have to hire someone to help me enjoy it.
